Rob is a self-taught artist who has transformed his passion for painting over the past seven years from a casual hobby into a diverse and dynamic career. Initially painting for fun in his kitchen and creating meme and nostalgia-themed gifts for friends, Rob’s artistic journey quickly evolved. He began exhibiting his work first as an Outsider and then as an Insider at the Don’t Walk Walk Gallery in Deal. He then expanded further through live painting projects on Twitch, where he engaged with a broader audience. His unique trajectory also led him to become involved in the Northern Irish rap scene and the world of social media influencers. Despite these varied ventures, Rob continues to paint icons of the past, blending classic styles with contemporary twists, showcasing his versatility and innovative approach to art. Whilst he takes what he does very seriously, his sense of humour figures prominently in his artwork, overtly or otherwise. He also takes a keen interest in the esoteric and enjoys sending out this signal and seeing who responds. The name Fantastic Sausages comes from the fact that he thinks sausages is just a hilarious word; and fantastic… well it speaks for itself because he’s rather an eccentric and put his personality out there, loud and proud. His Twitch alter-ego is Rob Boss, an ironic inversion of the cuddly American genius who accidentally kick-started his art career back in 2017. You can find him on there shouting and painting and swearing and singing and dancing… and also…PUPPETS! He thinks he must be the only contemporary artist who sometimes paints with a cat glove puppet called Dave on his hand. His mission is to entertain and inspire- whether it’s laugher or something more thoughtful, it’s all there- FANTASTIC SAUSAGES!
